One of the coolest things is being able to say, “hey, mom, could you make me (insert anything here)…” and in no time at all you have what you need- tailor made.
My brother came over for a visit and brought his new Nintendo Switch. The plastic docking piece seemed to be scratching the Nintendo’s screen. He asked my mom if she could make him a sleeve to protect the machine.
We found some very fitting fabric at JoAnn’s and after she took a few measurements and a bit of time on the sewing machine, she was done!
Little did we know these things are actually being made and sold on Etsy! People are calling them Dock Socks.
He showed his friends and she ended up making two more for them. Good thing my mom and I always seem to buy more fabric than we actually need!
