I needed a baby shower gift for a good friend of mine who is having another baby girl! This particular friend is pretty corny and loves herself anything punny. I decided to makes her a t-shirt with a corny saying.
I cut the words out of parchment paper with my Cricut and ironed it (waxy side down) to the shirt. This neat trick makes the perfect stencil to apply designs to fabric with paint! I mixed acrylic paint and a fabric medium per the instructions on the medium’s bottle. Acrylic paint alone could work, but adding the fabric medium
IMPORTANT NOTE***Slip another piece of parchment paper in between the front and back of the shirt! The paint WILL bleed!***
I dabbed the paint on with a makeup sponge. (This technique seems to work the best for me!) Then I just toss the makeup triangle in the garbage. Do not remove the divider or the stencil until the shirt is dry!!
